DGNB Platinum certification for our “Reiterstaffel Offices”!

We are delighted to announce that the office building we manage in southern Cologne has been awarded the DGNB Platinum Certificate—the highest accolade for sustainable buildings.

But what does that actually mean?
DGNB certification evaluates buildings holistically throughout their entire life cycle—from environmental and economic quality to sociocultural and functional aspects. Platinum signifies outstanding sustainability performance.

In the category of sociocultural and functional quality (user comfort, quality of the environment, accessibility, healthy work environments), the compliance rate for the property we manage is actually over 98%.

In addition, the following factors in particular contributed to the top rating:
✔️ Testing of all building products for ingredients and environmental impact – e.g., use of a refrigerant with an extremely low GWP
✔️ Photovoltaic system on the roof for sustainable energy generation
✔️ Component temperature control (concrete core temperature control) for a comfortable indoor climate with reduced energy consumption
✔️ Flexible, virtually column-free floor plans thanks to an innovative load-bearing structure
✔️ High-performance fiber-optic connectivity for future-proof work environments
✔️ Cloud-based building automation for efficient monitoring and control
✔️ Intelligent parking management system
✔️ Pre-wiring of parking spaces for e-mobility
✔️ Mobility monitors in the reception area for alternative transportation options

Together with the project developers Bauwens & Swiss Life Asset Managers Deutschland and the tenant Raiffeisen Waren-Zentrale Rhein-Main AG (RWZ), we are delighted to receive this award—and to be making an active contribution to sustainable real estate solutions.
